Yippee!!! Woohoo!!! Yahhoo!!! Today is the last day of the challenge....(the current one that is)!!! We did it girls....3 months....we are awesome!!!! Here's a BIG thanks to Sherron for putting and keeping it all together...your the best!

Alright sweet cheeks...now on to new things...tomorrow is the first day of the new challenge...I hope you all are looking forward to the next 3 months...Don't give up....I know you can do it....believe me if I can go 12 weeks without soda (and not even taking free points on it)...anyone can :)...please share any ideas...recipes...books...etc...anything that is helping or not helping during your journey.

Whatever dad!

Yippeee!!!...I just love going to the mail box these days...to find a bunch of envelopes from people wanting to join the challenge! It's been so fun getting money and emails from people I have never even met...Thanks to all you cuties that forwarded my original email...WooHoo!!!...you guys really got the word out!

My dad is to funny...he has been asking me to go to lunch with him for about 2 weeks now...and I just have not had enough time...(you know with the movies and all)...no, seriously, I've just not been able to go...so today I pick him up and we go to a little place near his house...we get there about 12 pm...we get our food...apparently eat it very fast....because we pay...get into the car and it says 12:35...I say "WOW" dad...if I new you only wanted to spend 30 minutes with your dear ol daughter we could have met days ago! um...whatever :)

Tomorrow I will not be journaling (blogging)...I am taking my free point day...I have a 30Th birthday party to attend and am going to live it up!...whos knows I might even take the WHOLE day off...I'm just so crazy like that...lol!!!

What I did do was definitely not very productive...but lots of fun for sure...went and saw the movie "Extraordinary Measures"...lots of tears...but good!

Hello you little chickadee's!

Ok girls...I've just gotta share...and I'm sure it's probably wwaaayyy to much information....but as the wire is poking into my left boob...it's all I can think about...lol!...alright...I really am serious....although I'm cracking myself up that I'm actually going to tell you all about it...

ok, I'll just come right out and say it...I have a bra problem...I absolutely hate shopping for bra's...I mean so bad that I will wait just until I have about 1 half way decent one and am practically forced to go buy some...I do wear sports bras alot...but that just doesn't cut it all the time...even for Christmas my sweetums and kiddos bought me 2 new ones...but come on...they totally didn't fit...(because who the heck buys someone else a practical bra) well wait...I guess they did fit...if you call not being able to move without one falling out fitting :)

Oh and here's something even funnier....the other night I had enough of that stupid sharp wire...and I was wearing a big vest...so I took that baby off...no one would even know if I wasn't wearing one right?...well we had to go to my daughters game that she was cheering at and it starting getting REALLY hot in the gym....so there I go getting ready to take the vest off...when all of a sudden I remembered...no BRA...what was I going to do...and to top it off I was wearing a hat...I mean it was soooo hot...I know I looked like a complete idiot all bundled up...like I was in the snow or something!

Alright, alright...enough talk about the bra...you'll be pleased to know I am planning on doing a little shoppping tomorrow...to help the situation.

sshhhh...I have another confession....but you can't tell my sweetum's...I'm also going to see a movie with my secret "movie-partner"...we try and go about every other week to the movies...it's really fun....but our husbands are starting to wonder what we actually get done during the days...lol!

missin my "Me" time!

Hello sweet cheeks!

I am soooo excited...I just returned home from a CPR class that was suppose to be from 6-9 pm...but instead only went until 7:30...Yaahhooo!!! Aside from the all day fitness workshop on Sunday...that should pretty much rap up all the re-certs I need for the next 2 years....Yaaahhooo again!...a weight has been lifted for sure!

alright...so we all know that we eat more when were bored....right?...well today I heard that if you sniff coffee beans instead of mindless eating...it's suppose to slow down your urge to snack...think I'll try it and get back to you :)

Tomorrow will be the first day..(crossing my fingers)...that everyone will be back to school and work (and not home sick)...and I am secretly sooooo excited to just do my thing and not have anyone mess with my "me" time! Goodness gracious it's been a bit and I'm starting to get cranky about it!

Well off to read my 15 minutes of spiritual text...and watch A.Idol...(love that I can skip through the commercials)....sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite...

Welcome baby Phoenix :)

So do you ever feel like you think your doing things right...then find out your not?...or that you are always trying to make everybody happy...which in return nobody is?...well today that is exactly how I'm feeling...sigh...!!! I'm thinking of finding myself a hole and crawling right in.

On a more positive note...

A very dear friend of mine...(that I've known since 6th grade)...just gave birth to a sweet baby boy...after 2 days of labor...WOW!...Phoenix Orion Griffin...has entered the world...I cannot wait to meet the little cutie :)...I can remember back when her and I were 12...sitting in my room talking about what we were going to name our kids when we got older...we both made a pack that whoever had a girl first would name her Autumn Hope....and believe it or not, I did that very thing....who would have thought that our first born dumplings would be almost 17 years apart.

Again...allow me to close with a little inspirational quote for you all..."The more difficulties one has to encounter, within and without, the more significant and the higher in inspiration his life will be."

Good evening girls!

Jeez Louise is the rain ever going to leave??? I need to buy myself some rain boots asap...had another day of wet feet...standing out in the rain watching my oh so sweet niece get baptized was special indeed...but these wet shoes need to take a hike!

I absolutely cannot believe that as of today I have only 1 more week left of the challenge...I think there are 6 of us in the running... and besides me...two of them are my personal friends...all I have to say is...we ROCK for sure girlfriends!!! I am so proud of all of u who have kept with it!

Hello all you sweet things!

Well we bought the little critter...and I really am trying my darnest to like him :)...and yes it's a him...so the new name is "Scout"!

I just returned from a going away party...A good friend of my oldest is moving to France for 6 months...so sad for us...but VERY exciting for her indeed!...goodbye Annie...I will miss you :(

Not much happening in this household...half the family is sick...one being my Sweetums...and honestly I'm being REAL nice calling him that tonight...because he is the WORST sick person evvverrr...I should really be calling him my BIG pain in the bootie...lol!

Ok...I know I keep saying this girls...but if you are joining the next challenge...you have a bit over a week to get me the goods...money, picture and reason for joining...I really don't mean to be a pest but I am so excited about it and don't want you to miss out on this great opportunity!

little critter....yikes!

Sweet Jesus please help me...now the middle dumpling is just dieing to buy a hamster...seriously, I'm not even sure I could handle it if it starts to stink...she's been saving her money since Christmas to buy the fluffy little critter...and for goodness sakes I really am trying to be a cool mom and be all excited with her...but honestly the things kinda freak me out...yikes! So, tomorrow we are heading to the pet store so she can buy her little "Violet"...yes , that's right...she apparently has already named it :)

Okay...I'm am closing early...going to try and get to bed at a decent time this evening...I've been gone since 8 am and really can't wait to get all snugglie and read my book...awwww!

Okay listen to this...it is sooo cute...and you all know how much I'm a fan of cute things...cute words...cute anything...ok, ok anyways...my oldest dumpling was asked to homecoming yesterday...Awww...I know, cute right?...well here's some more cuteness to throw your way...he not only just asked her...he had flowers sent to her in each class...then when the day was coming to an end....he came into class with more flowers in hand along with his guitar...and in front of everyone sang her the sweetest song asking her to be his date!!! Here's a picture that I think captured it all...

journal"er" wanna-be :)

Good evening sweet things!

I've said many times before I have wanted to be a journal"er"...I have envied folks who keep a cute little leather bound book on their bedside table...jotting down their daily adventures...and actually...at any given time...you could walk up to my bedside table and find many books...but definitely not a journal. When I started the challenge back in November...I knew the only way for me to not cheat on my journaling points would be to start a blog...so that I could publicly display all my cuckiness...to all of you...and who would have thought it would have turned into something I love to do...I so look forward to sitting down each evening writing about whatever comes to mind...I honestly can't believe I have written over 70 posts...a record for me indeed! I have received such wonderful feedback...that I have decided to continue through the next challenge...and hopefully all of you...(my fancy followers)...will continue right along with me :)


Allow me to close with a quote I heard from my daughters best friend...I happen to think she is simply adorable and she will also be competing in the next challenge..."It's ordinary people who decide to step out and be part of something big. wet feet

Howdy!

WOW!...this rain is crazy...I stepped in a puddle at about 9am this morning and have had wet feet all day...I bet I looked ridiculous running across the parking lot...with an Ariel (Disney) umbrella...stepping in ankle deep puddles...Yikes!!! Although with all the rain...its making the new roof and gutters seem priceless right about now :)

The little mister stayed home sick today...so what did I do?...I took him to the movie's...you think now he might start faking sick?...just to get some fun alone mommy time.

Just met a really nice mom from the kids school today that is interested in starting a running/walking group with other moms from school...I'm totally excited...this is fantastic...any of you girls interested as well...I'll keep you posted!

Alright sisters...not to be a pain...but if you all are interested in the Feb. 1st challenge...I still need the money...picture...and reason for joining.

ugly kitchen no more

Good Evening you cute things!

Yesss...we finally had a guy come out to get the ball rolling on re-doing the kitchen...Yah hoo!!!...believe me when I tell you all...I have definitely taken one...(or maybe 10)...for the team when it comes to my kitchen...it is AWFUL looking and of course has been one of the last things to get updated in the house....I am almost gitty thinking about it all :)

Boy was it nice not having to rush to get the kiddos of to school....slept in a little...went to teach the old peeps...who are always delightful...they are the best when it comes to this girl...who loves words of affirmation! My love tank is always full when it comes to my job!

Well off to make lunches for tomorrow.

Hi Girls!

I'm just getting right to the point...today has been VERY boring...aside from the nice run this morning..(thank goodness before the rain)...I've not done much of anything...Well, I did clean a little...but thats no fun. I think if I have to stand by and watch football anymore I could flip!

I can't even thing of much to write this afternoon....this is so not like me...I'm really hoping for a more eventful evening.

Ok...I just took a break and went to make myself some tea...maybe after blogging I should curl up with a book and enjoy doing nothing...alright I'm closing...I'll I'm doing now is rambling.

Chocolate chip starfish...what the heck!

Hi you little cuties!

I swear...if there was a world record...(ooh wait or a challenge maybe)...for the most dirty laundry my family would WIN...I cannot believe how many loads I must do in a single week...and my sister who has only 1 kid was telling me she has alot...whatever sis...come live here for a week...lol! Thank goodness I was determined to finish...because I am finally on the last load....sigh!

So my daughter (the oldest)...Is making me Cuckoo...Ugghhh...She already has 2 dogs and a turtle...and had a fish but she just passed on...and just had a kitten...that I made her give away...ok can you already see my frustration...well she just called from the pet store and wanted to know if she could get another turtle...to start breeding them....hahahaha...yah, that's my crazy laugh....then after I ever so politely freaked out...she called back to see if she could just get a chocolate chip starfish.....WHAT!!!!....UGHHHH!!!....what on earth is a chocolate chip starfish...sweet Jesus you have to be kidding me!

Hello you little Chickadee's!

I have had another fabulous day...definitely making up for the yucky few days I had earlier in the week. I just love that my sweetums and I can have a date while the little dumplings are ALL in school.

Yippee!!!...we already have 36 people who have gotten in touch with me about the upcoming challenge...now all you girls (and guys) need to do is email me pictures and reasons for signing up....oh and lets not forget the 10 dollars please :)

Well shoot...we had plans to take the kiddos snowboarding this weekend...but after looking at the funky forecast....its not looking so good. Rain everyday next week....ugh!

The kid's have been singing Martin Luther king songs all afternoon...so cute!...Happy birthday Dr. King....here's to you!

what's cookin?

Howdy All!

I must say...today has been very relaxing...so far that is...(might not be so quick to say that when the rest of the fam gets home)...I went for a long walk with the pups...went to the movies...and to top it off...a nice day outside with even a little sunshine....Sure feels good to get out and enjoy life today :)

Getting ready to make some chicken tortilla soup (in the crock-pot)....it's super yummy...and right before I add the chicken...I pull some out for little ol me...and voila!...I've killed to birds with one stone! I am always on the look out for easy crock-pot recipes....so pass them my way if you have some keepers.

OK....please tell me you all watched American Idol last night....what the heck....the old guy who sang..."Pants on the ground....pants on the ground.....thinkin your a cool cat with your pants on the ground"....seriously funny stuff!

Alright...need to close so I stay on top of my game this evening...and don't get to far behind...Hope all of you who are still in the challenge are having a great week 10...can you believe it...only 2 more weeks!

Well Hello all you Fancy Followers!

I have been feeling under then weather the last few days...but after alot of rest...(which is very hard for me by the way)...I'm back...not 100%...but definitely in the the right direction! Here's a great BIG THANK YOU to all my wonderful friends who have been helping with the kiddos...you girls ROCK!

Here's a question for you all...Why is it so hard to just stop and breath?...Even when I'm ill, I go crazy to just SIT!!! It takes a huge effort on my part to just stop and get healthy...ugh! Although, I have to say I've seen some great movies while lounging around...have you all seen "Chocolat"...it's an older movie...but fabulous.

So...I've had some great response for the Feb. 1st. challenge...keep getting the word out girlies!

At last!!!

Hello all you sassy sisters!

We just recently re-did one of our bathrooms...and for about 4 months I have been trying to decide what type of decor to put in there...I'll go out...buy all the towels...pictures...and counter stuff...and absolutely hate it!!!...well today girlfriends...at last....I have found what I've been looking for...thanks to my fabulous sister-in-law (the interior designer)...it looks fantastic!!!

So...I had to use my free (eat after 8 pm) point tonight....ugh!....whatever, I guess...I need to get over it....It just bums me out when its not even my fault...I tried...its just the ding dong restaurant wasn't cooperating.

I am just down right tuckered out I tell ya...the little mister hasn't been feelin 100% the last few days...and has woke me up early 3 mornings in a row.

So once again...Mr. Sandman and I have some talkin to do...nighty nite all...

Just got back from a delicious dinner with the fam and our wonderful neighbors!

Ok, Check out this super cute poem my girlfriend sent me today...had to share...

T'was the month after Christmas,
And all through the house,
Nothing would fit me,
Not even a blouse.


The cookies I'd nibbled,
The chocolate I'd taste
At the holiday parties
Had gone to my waist.


When I got on the scales
There arose such a number!
When I walked to the store
(less a walk than a lumber)


I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd prepared;
The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared,
The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese
And the way I'd never said, " No thank you , please."
As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt
And prepared once again to do battle with dirt...

I said to myself, as I only can,

"You can't spend a winter, disguised as a man!"
So, away with the last of the sour cream dip .
Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip.
Every last bit of food that I like must be banished
Till all the additional ounces have vanished.

I won't have a cookie, not even a lick.
I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick.

I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie.
I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.
I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore...
But isn't that what January is for? Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.

Yah Hoo....I'm back...and in much better spirits I might add!

FINALLY got all the Christmas stuff put away...YES!!!...I heard that the official "Christmas should be out of the house day" is Jan. 5th...(Epiphany I think???)...So you better believe I was trying my darnest to make it happend. So, does this mean I have passed in Christmas etiquette?

My super fabulous mother-in-law told me that on amazon you can get up to 5 magazine subscriptions for only 5 dollars a piece...for a whole year...one's like...Fitness..Cooking...etc. I think she said the cut off day is the 9th...so check it out!

So...I spoke with Sherron (the gal who is running the current challenge)...and she said I should start putting the word out now about the Feb. 1st. challenge....which means in the next couple of days...you all will be hearing from me...so start telling all your friends and family that info is coming SOON.

Hi Girlie's...

Having a bit of a rough day today..."sigh"...I must be "pms"ing :)...my nerves are running VERY thin...Sometimes I feel like I'm running around in circles with my head chopped off!

All I want to do is put the dumplings to bed and not move for the rest of the evening...everyone in the house is probably scared to speak to me at this very moment...lol!

Alright...on a more positive note...here is what I am thankful for...(and yes...I am thinking hard this evening to come up with something nice)...I am thankful for peanuts...oh how I love to snack on them...I know I'm a nerd...I'm actually making myself laugh at this very moment...at how ridiculous I must sound to you all.

Holy Moly what was I thinking!

Hello Sweets!

Tomorrow is back to work for my Sweetums and back to school for the oldest...sooo where are the other three you ask?....AT HOME FOR 1 MORE WEEK...is where they are...holy moly is all I can say to that!...Honestly, I am having mixed feelings about it...secretly I could use some time to myself...but I also like having the flexibility we have when they are home.

Today has been a VERY productive day if I don't say so myself!...And you bet your sweet bottom that that is what I am thankful for...I got AlL the laundry done...kids rooms look spectacular...cleaned out the frig and went grocery shopping...and last but not least and probably waaayyy to much information...FINALLY cleaned out the good old undie drawer...embarrassingly enough its been like 5 years...I found all sorts of stuff...I would never be caught dead in :)

Dancing Queen

Hi all you little 2010 er's!

Alright...give to it me girls...how are you all feeling this crispy second day of January?...I need to get my bottom in gear and finish taking down the Christmas decor...It always makes me sad to see it go :( ...Oh well...On to new things...right?...goodbye holiday season...you will surely be missed.

You might have noticed I took the day off yesterday...from journaling that is! We had a friends birthday party to attend...and boy am I glad I didn't stay out super late New Years eve...because last night made up for several late nights...it sure was a blast dancing the night away...I love it when I can get my sweetums to join me on the dance floor :)

Well I surely hope you all are enjoying your day...I'm off to walk the pups...can't believe I'm actually posting so early in the day.

Oh goodness...I almost forgot...

Today I am thankful for my two daughters, that they are "still into" playing with there doll babies...and that they STILL think I'm way cool because I made their babies cookies, pancakes and tea bags...(with felt of course!)...I love that they still have that extra special way of letting their imaginations take them anywhere.

Ok...I feel kinda funny saying this with it only being 3 and all...but I couldn't possibly close with out it...SWEET DREAMS dear friends :)
